ISO20022 Payments Software Engineer III, Automation Tester

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot complex software solutions beyond routine technical approaches.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronized algorithms for core systems.
• Utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to generate code, refactor logic, and create unit tests.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts while ensuring all development constraints are met.
• Analyze large, diverse datasets to identify patterns and improve system architecture and coding hygiene.
• Execute test scenarios by writing scripts using Business Driven Development methodologies like Gherkin.
• Monitor, report, and re-test software defects to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Validate and present test results for internal sign-off during the development lifecycle.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to create, troubleshoot, and refine code.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and security considerations.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Ability to document and execute test scenarios using Business Driven Development techniques like Gherkin.
• Strong organizational skills to manage critical testing tasks independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in the Banking or Financial Services sectors with knowledge of payments message processing (preferred).
• Experience with Selenium, Python, Java, BDD Cucumber, Data Engineering, JIRA, SharePoint, and Confluence (preferred).
