ISO20022 Payments Software Engineer III, Python Automation Tester

What you'll do

• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with existing systems.
• Develop and execute Python automation test scripts using Business Driven Development and Gherkin.
• Use enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to generate code, refactor scripts, and create unit tests.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring all design constraints are met.
• Analyze large datasets to develop visualizations and reports for continuous software improvement.
• Monitor and report on testing defects and manage the end-to-end re-testing process.
• Validate and present test results for internal sign-off and project communications.
• Identify hidden patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
• Experience with Python Automation.
• Ability to document and execute test scenarios using Business Driven Development, such as Gherkin.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to create, validate, and refine outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and security expectations.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Experience in Banking or Financial Services with knowledge of ISO20022 payments message processing (preferred).
• Experience with Selenium, Java, BDD Cucumber, Data Engineering, JIRA, SharePoint, or Confluence (preferred).
