UAT Testing Payments Software Engineer III

What you'll do

• Lead a test team by supervising daily tasks, allocating duties, and providing accurate testing estimates during scrum calls.
• Plan end-to-end test strategies including data management, environment setup, defect tracking, and automation.
• Write and execute test scripts using Business Driven Development methodologies such as Gherkin.
• Identify and implement automated testing solutions to improve delivery speed and efficiency.
• Monitor and report on testing defects while managing the re-testing process for internal sign-off.
• Utilize AI coding tools to generate code, refactor logic, and create unit tests while ensuring security standards.
• Conduct knowledge audits of team members to identify and bridge skill gaps in UAT capabilities.
• Manage stakeholder expectations regarding project timelines and escalate critical issues to program management.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
• Experience troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining Cucumber, Gherkin, Java, Selenium, or similar tools.
• Functional knowledge of the Payments domain and experience in testing processes to define requirements and document user stories.
• Experience with automated testing tools to enable efficient end-to-end test execution.
• Strong organizational skills to manage critical tasks under tight deadlines and provide structured problem-solving for complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills to provide clear updates to team members, senior leads, executives, and clients.
• Experience in Business Driven Development or Test Driven Development methodologies (preferred).
• Relevant testing experience within the Financial Services industry in a high-volume environment (preferred).
