Intern Application Developer AWS - 2027 is a role within the IBM Consulting FutureNow Center where you will work alongside experienced professionals to solve complex business and technology challenges. You will contribute to high-quality software by writing code, participating in peer reviews, and supporting technical documentation and design discussions. Your daily work involves developing cloud-native and full-stack applications on Amazon Web Services while focusing on enterprise system modernization, automation, and scalable solutions. To succeed, you will utilize technologies including databases, operating systems, modern UI frameworks, and AI-enabled tools within an Agile and DevOps environment. The role addresses the technical challenge of digital transformation by building robust cloud infrastructure and software for diverse clients across multiple industries, requiring proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript to deliver high-performance results.
Develop code for cloud-native and full-stack applications on Amazon Web Services.
Contribute to technical documentation and participate in solution design discussions.
Participate in code reviews and apply software quality practices under professional guidance.
Build scalable solutions and automate processes using AWS cloud services.
Support the modernization of enterprise systems and digital transformation initiatives.

What we're looking for
High School Diploma or GED.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Basic understanding of programming concepts and experience with at least one language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or C++.
Basic understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, databases, APIs, and problem-solving.
Experience gained through academic projects, internships, hackathons, student organizations, research, or other practical learning opportunities.
Interest in software development, cloud technologies, Artificial Intelligence, automation, or digital transformation.
Familiarity with Git, APIs, databases, Agile development, DevOps concepts, and user interface frameworks (preferred).
Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates while supporting application modernization and digital transformation initiatives (preferred).
