As an Intern Application Developer – Salesforce - 2027, you will join the IBM Consulting FutureNow Center to support the Business Applications and Salesforce practice. Working within a collaborative team, you will assist in developing Salesforce-based customer relationship management solutions and customer engagement platforms for sales, service, and marketing transformation initiatives. Your daily responsibilities include collaborating on requirements gathering, supporting solution design and documentation, and contributing to high-quality software through guided coding and testing. You will utilize skills in programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or C++, alongside knowledge of APIs, databases, and object-oriented programming. The role involves applying cloud technologies, Artificial Intelligence, DevOps, and Agile methodologies to solve complex technical problems and drive digital transformation for diverse public and private sector clients.
Develop and test code for Salesforce-based CRM and customer engagement platforms.
Support the definition of technical solutions and gather requirements from cross-functional teams.
Prepare technical specifications and document design decisions for project communication.
Participate in code reviews to ensure software quality and scalability.
Contribute to sales, service, and marketing transformation initiatives using Salesforce.
Apply development practices to ensure platform performance, security, and user experience.
Support the delivery of technical solutions for public and private sector clients.
What we're looking for
High School Diploma/GED.
Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Basic understanding of programming concepts and experience with at least one language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or C++.
Basic understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, databases, and APIs.
Experience gained through academic projects, internships, hackathons, research, volunteer experiences, or other practical learning opportunities.
Familiarity with Git, APIs, databases, Agile development, DevOps concepts, cloud platforms, or user interface frameworks (preferred).
