Intern Application Developer – Azure and Microsoft - 2027 is a role within the IBM Consulting FutureNow Center team where you will support the development of enterprise applications, cloud solutions, AI-enabled services, and automation tools. You will work with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions, contribute to solution design and documentation, and develop high-quality code for full-stack applications. The role focuses on the Azure and Microsoft application development practice, specifically addressing challenges in application modernization and digital transformation across various industries like healthcare and financial services. To succeed, you will utilize technologies including Azure, .NET, C#, Power Platform, APIs, and UI frameworks. You will also engage with software engineering practices such as DevOps, Agile methodologies, and cloud-native development while working on real client projects to solve complex business problems through modern technology integration.
Develop and improve code under the guidance of experienced team members.
Participate in code reviews and follow software quality practices.
Build cloud-native and full-stack applications using Microsoft technologies like Azure, .NET, and C#.
Assist with technical specifications and document design decisions for project communication.
Support the development of enterprise applications, AI-enabled services, and automation tools.
Help define technical solutions and contribute to overall project delivery.
Address complex business challenges by modernizing applications and adopting cloud technologies.
What we're looking for
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Basic understanding of programming concepts and experience with at least one language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or C++.
Basic understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, databases, APIs, and problem-solving.
Experience gained through academic projects, internships, hackathons, student organizations, research, or other practical learning opportunities.
Interest in software development, cloud technologies, Artificial Intelligence, automation, or digital transformation.
Familiarity with Git, APIs, databases, Agile development, DevOps concepts, and cloud platforms (preferred).
Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates while supporting application modernization and digital transformation initiatives (preferred).
