Senior ECAD Systems Engineer, Configuration Management

What you'll do

• Design and maintain automation to synchronize data across Xpedition, EDM, and Teamcenter systems.
• Build tooling to automate BOM reconciliation and ensure consistency across design and supply-chain systems.
• Automate and harden the ECAD-MCAD collaboration workflow to prevent protocol deviations.
• Develop automated verification tools to detect dimensional mismatches between EDM and Teamcenter.
• Create automated release gates to enforce component maturity and data completeness before PCBA approval.
• Pull as-built BOM data and contract manufacturer red-lines back into engineering tools.
• Maintain the EE tooling backlog and prioritize high-impact automation opportunities.
• Write technical documentation for all custom tooling, APIs, and system integrations.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering tooling development, PLM integration, or ECAD systems administration.
• Proficiency in software development using Python, Java, or C# to build production-quality automation tools.
• Hands-on experience with PLM/PDM system APIs (Teamcenter SOA/RAC preferred).
• Experience with ECAD tools and data formats (Mentor/Siemens Xpedition preferred; familiarity with EDM component library management).
• Understanding of PCBA design workflows, BOM structures, and engineering release processes.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
