TL;DR · Integration and Test Technician

As an Integration and Test Technician on the Maneuver Dominance team, you will lead critical capability development for an advanced airborne platform. You will support new UAS development by building complex test equipment, including Iron Bird Hardware In The Loop physical integration environments. Your daily responsibilities include assembling electromechanical subsystems, fabricating wire harness assemblies, and executing Safe-to-Mate and Safe-to-Power procedures to safely energize flight hardware. You will also perform electrical troubleshooting, maintain lab inventory, and manage configuration documentation. Required skills include proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies, alongside experience with CAN, Ethernet, RS-232/422/485, and MIL-STD-1553 interfaces. You must be able to interpret electrical schematics and perform soldering to aerospace standards. This role focuses on the technical integration and validation of advanced unmanned aerial systems within a high-velocity defense technology environment.

What you'll do

  • Assemble complex electromechanical subsystems, test racks, junction boxes, and related hardware components.
  • Design, fabricate, and modify complex cable and wire harness assemblies for prototype systems.
  • Execute Safe-to-Mate (STM) and Safe-to-Power (STP) procedures to safely energize flight hardware.
  • Perform electrical checkout, functional verification, and root cause investigation during integration activities.
  • Maintain the health and operational readiness of HITL and Iron Bird test environments.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical components, wiring harnesses, and integration hardware.
  • Manage inventory of lab tools, cables, connectors, and spare parts while maintaining configuration documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency within the laboratory environment.

What we're looking for

  • Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Technologies, or related fields.
  • Experience building, integrating, operating, or maintaining HIL/HITL/Iron Bird environments for flight vehicles.
  • Experience executing Safe-to-Mate (STM), Safe-to-Power (STP), and hardware integration procedures.
  • Experience performing LRU, subsystem, and system-level hardware integration and bring-up.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical systems, harnesses, LRUs, and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Familiarity with electrical bus interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, RS-232/422/485, and MIL-STD-1553.
  • Experience with electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and programmable power supplies.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings; experience with soldering and wire harness fabrication to aerospace standards.
  • Experience supporting Group 4 or Group 5 UAS, aerospace, or defense vehicle integration and test environments.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance in the United States, United Kingdom, or Australia (preferred).
  • Familiarity with IPC Quality Standards, CAD software like Siemens NX or Solidworks (preferred).
  • Experience using diagnostic tools such as Saleae Logic Analyzers or Wireshark (preferred).
