Integrated Systems Engineer, Payload SW, System Test Automation and Regression

What you'll do

• Define comprehensive test requirements for payload software based on system architecture and functionality.
• Monitor nightly regression runs to triage failures and distinguish infrastructure issues from software defects.
• Develop and maintain test plans, matrices, and traceability documentation linking requirements to automated coverage.
• Track metrics such as pass rates and flakiness to drive continuous improvement of the regression pipeline.
• Design complex test sequences to verify the performance of satellite hardware and software across multiple layers.
• Collaborate with automation engineers to prioritize new test development based on risk and roadmap goals.
• Drive process improvements for test environment configuration, data management, and results reporting.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, test engineering, or integration and test roles.
• Experience in electrical/mechanical engineering or in gathering and writing clear, detailed requirement documents.
• Ability to read and understand software at a system level to diagnose issues and interpret logs.
• Experience working with automated test systems or CI/CD pipelines as a user, operator, or requirements owner.
• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• Preferred experience in developing test strategies for complex hardware/software systems or systems of systems.
• Preferred skills include Python scripting, advanced SQL, and experience with RF lab equipment or HIL environments.
