What you'll do

Perform requirement analysis and hardware/software design for electric drive control system components.
Develop embedded software using languages such as C, C++, Assembly, or Python.
Select commercial-off-the-shelf and custom components to support rapid prototyping of system functionality.
Implement communication protocols including serial (RS-232/485, I2C, SPI) and high-speed systems like PCIe and Ethernet.
Document code thoroughly and author engineering reports for distribution to external stakeholders.
Create detailed test cases and develop focused testing plans for hardware and software integration.
Prepare practical demonstrations of proposed solutions for peer reviews and team presentations.
Execute development tasks within an Agile framework to meet Navy requirements.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
5 or more years of post-graduate engineering experience.
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
Experience in requirement analysis, hardware/software design, software development, testing, and integration.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C, C++, Assembly, or Python.
Experience with tools including Visual Studio, QT, Jira, and Git.
Knowledge of serial (RS-232/422/485, I2C, SPI) and high-speed protocols (PCIe, Ethernet, SRIO).
Familiarity with Agile development and experience in bare-metal or multi-process environments.
