What you'll do

Devise, develop, and execute engineering tests for novel optical components in silicon photonics products.
Build and perform hands-on engineering tests on integrated photonic components at die, wafer, and assembly levels.
Analyze and correlate optical test data with design and process parameters to optimize device performance.
Apply data analytics leveraging AI/ML for proactive problem detection and resolution.
Communicate clear, data-driven analysis to cross-functional teams including Design, Assembly, and Foundry partners.
Automate photonics testing using hardware and software tools like Python, Matlab, C#, or Labview.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience, Master's plus 3 years, or PhD with 0 years of experience.
Experience with solid-state physics, integrated photonics, and opto-electronics.
Experience in hardware and software automation of photonics testing.
Ph.D. with 3 years of experience (preferred).
Prior experience with commercial large-scale photonic circuit testing developments (preferred).
Prior experience building optical testing setups and systems for integrated photonics and performing hands-on testing (preferred).
Programming experience for testing automation using Python, Matlab, C#, or Labview (preferred).
Experience in statistical programming, SQL, or testing RF and high-speed optical components (preferred).
