Staff Infrastructure Engineer, Netcool

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise event management and correlation solutions using IBM Netcool Operations Insight.
• Build and optimize Netcool probes, gateways, automation policies, and event processing workflows.
• Administer production and non-production environments, including platform upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.
• Design monitoring solutions across servers, databases, network devices, cloud platforms, and applications.
• Integrate monitoring platforms with ServiceNow for automated incident creation, routing, and ticket lifecycle management.
• Develop event-driven automation and remediation workflows using Python, Shell scripting, and Ansible.
• Provide Level 3 technical support and participate in on-call rotations for critical incident response.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures to ensure compliance with SOX and audit requirements.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10 years of relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of experience administering enterprise monitoring, event management, observability, or infrastructure management platforms.
• Experience with IBM Netcool/NOI, ServiceNow Event Management, Dynatrace, Splunk, or equivalent enterprise monitoring solutions.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong experience with scripting and automation.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications using APIs, SNMP, Syslog, or messaging technologies.
• Experience with enterprise incident management processes.
