What you'll do

Apply technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to improve data and systems running at scale.
Ensure end-to-end monitoring of applications and resolve technical nuances or determine escalation paths.
Test infrastructure performance and verify that technical requirements are successfully met.
Collect and analyze monitoring data in test and production environments to drive results.
Identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses with application and infrastructure teams.
Drive daily activities supporting standard capacity process applications.
Make significant decisions for projects consisting of multiple technologies and applications.
Consider upstream and downstream data and technical implications for all infrastructure tasks.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
Strong knowledge and experience with Python scripting and automation.
Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments.
Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, multicast, and latency concepts.
Experience supporting technical systems or applications in a production environment.
Understanding of data workflows, data pipelines, or data distribution systems.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues using diagnostic tools and methodologies.
Strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking, databases, storage, or automation.
