As an Infrastructure Engineer III - Database Engineer - SQL Server, you will join the Infrastructure Platforms and Databases team to develop scalable database solutions within a dynamic agile environment. You will apply technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to improve data systems running at scale, ensuring end-to-end monitoring of applications while managing capacity risks and remediation workflows. Your daily work involves expanding existing platforms from private clouds into public cloud providers. You will utilize Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS tools, alongside enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate analysis and documentation. The role requires expertise in database design, performance tuning, security, and various technologies including Python, Ansible, JavaScript, Linux, Shell Scripting, and REST APIs. You will solve complex technical problems across the software lifecycle while ensuring all solutions align with strict resiliency and security requirements.
Develop and manage Microsoft SQL Server database solutions to support scalable infrastructure.
Expand the existing database platform from private cloud environments into public cloud providers.
Use enterprise-authorized AI tools to accelerate monitoring, capacity analysis, and documentation tasks.
Manage the standard capacity process by identifying risks and governing remediation statuses with partner teams.
Write T-SQL code and develop various database objects like Stored Procedures and Views.
Perform performance tuning, security management, and troubleshooting for large-scale relational databases.
Implement ETL processes using tools such as SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
Develop frameworks to improve developer efficiency, release velocity, and overall code health.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
Experience working in relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or other RDBMS.
Experience in database design, development, and writing T-SQL code for objects like Stored Procedures and Views.
Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits.
Working experience with ETL tools (SSIS), reporting tools (SSRS), and analytic tools (SSAS).
Experience in database management systems including performance tuning and security.
Understanding of cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages.
Experience working with at least two of the following: database, Windows/Unix/Linux environments, large scale software development, or security software development.
