Infrastructure Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and support hybrid infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Lead and execute cloud migration initiatives using Azure Government or AWS GovCloud platforms.
• Configure, manage, and optimize virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V.
• Implement and maintain Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions like Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Ensure all infrastructure practices align with federal compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST, and FISMA.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and capacity to proactively identify opportunities for optimization and security enhancement.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to implement and strengthen Zero Trust security principles.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational standards for the organization.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience.
• 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience.
• Expertise in Windows Server, Linux, and core networking concepts.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting using PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and implementation.
• Experience supporting federal government IT environments and knowledge of FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST standards.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing workloads in Azure Government Cloud or AWS GovCloud (preferred).
• Industry certifications such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware, Security+, or CISSP (preferred).
