Infrastructure Engineers join the Engineering & Data team to build and develop the core infrastructure that powers commerce. Additionally, you will work with distributed systems technologies such as Kafka, MySQL, and Redis, while leveraging cloud platforms like GCP and monitoring tools like Prometheus to solve complex technical problems for merchants and customers worldwide.

What you'll do

Write code to build and maintain infrastructure supporting millions of global transactions.
Design and optimize high-performance systems to handle critical workloads and high traffic.
Develop comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions to ensure system reliability.
Build scalable data infrastructure to power commerce experiences for merchants and customers.
Use Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform to manage containerization and infrastructure-as-code.
Manage distributed systems technologies including Kafka, MySQL, Redis, and GCP.
Participate in on-call rotations to maintain system uptime and performance.

What we're looking for

Strong expertise in infrastructure engineering with proven coding experience building scalable systems.
Proficiency with containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.
Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
Experience with monitoring and observability platforms, particularly Prometheus and related tooling.
Hands-on experience with distributed systems technologies including Kafka, MySQL, and Redis.
Experience with cloud platforms like GCP.
Ability to work in a digital-first environment.
Availability to perform on-call work.
