Infrastructure Engineer, Db2 Support

What you'll do

• Install, configure, test, and deploy mainframe system software components across multiple sysplexes.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for MIS and end users.
• Perform general platform support including issue resolution and on-call duties.
• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure technology solutions to meet customer needs.
• Develop software components and hardware for projects aligned with business strategies.
• Update applications with new technology to solve common technical problems.
• Manage disaster recovery and business continuity planning for mainframe systems.
• Coach junior staff members on technical tasks and system operations.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience.
• 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting z/OS platform software using z/OS, SMP/e, and Mainframe JCL.
• Experience with DB2 for z/os installation and support or DB2 LUW install and support.
• Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: REXX, CLIST, SAS, Cobol, or ASM.
• Working knowledge of CA-7, CA-OPSMVS, Syncsort, ISPF, CA-ACF2, DF/DSS, IDCAMS, and Unix System Services.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, NDM, VSAM, Sharepoint, JIRA, Topaz, Service Now, and incident/change processes.
• Experience with Project Planning, Mainframe Security, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
