Core Infrastructure Engineer II

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain automation for provisioning and managing OCI virtual networking fleets using Terraform and Python.
• Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to improve system reliability and ensure feature correctness.
• Create and maintain operational runbooks and telemetry systems to monitor component health and manage failures.
• Triage requests from partner teams by evaluating them against scale, capacity, risk, and cost constraints.
• Participate in on-call rotations to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause investigations, and execute incident responses.
• Implement security measures such as encryption and access controls for multi-tenant cloud environments.
• Manage project timelines and prioritize tasks independently while maintaining status in the team's tracking system.

What we're looking for

• Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Candidates must have 3 to 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Terraform is required for deployment pipelines and infrastructure management.
• A foundational understanding of virtual networking is required.
• Experience supporting infrastructure in a hyperscale cloud environment is preferred.
• Experience building infrastructure or tooling for automated testing is preferred.
• Familiarity with C++ is considered a beneficial skill.
