The Information Systems Security Engineer joins the team to secure and protect critical AI/ML networks for vital client missions. You will ensure requirements are integrated through purposeful security architecture, design, development, and configuration while enforcing DoD cybersecurity policies. Daily responsibilities include coordinating modifications with the Information System Security Manager, performing system monitoring, and managing documentation to achieve Interim Authority to Operate and Authority to Operate. You will build cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions for hybrid systems, performing risk remediation and security control assessments. Required skills include experience with the Risk Management Framework, ACAS, STIGs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools. You must possess a Top Secret clearance and DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification. Technical knowledge of systems engineering management processes and DoD communication systems is essential for this role.
Integrate security requirements into system architecture, design, development, and configuration.
Implement and enforce all DoD cybersecurity policies and procedures.
Manage systems to maintain security posture and achieve IATO and ATO certifications.
Guide clients through the entire Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.

What we're looking for
3+ years of experience guiding clients through the entire Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Authority to Operate (ATO) process.
Experience as an ISSE, ISSO, or in a role within Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or IT Service Management.
Experience conducting enterprise vulnerability scanning using ACAS, performing risk remediation, and integrating security principles with STIGs.
Experience achieving system certification, accreditation, assessment, and authorization, including IATT and ATOs.
Experience engineering and hardening security solutions like firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools.
Knowledge of systems and software engineering management processes as applied to DoD acquisition processes.
Knowledge of DoD communication, cybersecurity, and IT systems.
Top Secret clearance.
Associate's degree and 7+ years of cybersecurity experience, Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience, or 9+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification.
Experience with DevSecOps, Cloud technologies (AWS), or Agile methodologies (preferred).
Experience with Linux, UNIX, Ubuntu, or Red Hat operating systems (preferred).
Master's degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity (preferred).
CISSP-ISSEP, CCSP, or CISM certification (preferred).
