As a Cybersecurity Software Engineer, you will join the team to protect critical AI/ML networks and support military clients with advanced cybersecurity solutions. You will be responsible for integrating security architecture into systems through design, development, and configuration while ensuring compliance with DoD policies and procedures to achieve IATO and ATO milestones. Your daily work involves performing risk and vulnerability assessments across networks and applications, implementing infrastructure controls, and utilizing big data analytics to identify advanced threats. The role requires proficiency in Fortify, AWS, Docker, RHEL, Python, and Java. You will also manage security control assessments using ACAS and implement STIGs for system hardening. This position addresses the complex challenge of securing hybrid systems and ensuring cyber resiliency through secure software development practices within a high-stakes defense environment.
Integrate security requirements into system architecture, design, development, and configuration.
Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls to enhance detection and vulnerability capabilities.
Perform risk and vulnerability assessments across networks, systems, and applications.
Manage documentation and monitoring to achieve Interim Authority to Operate (IATO) and Authority to Operate (ATO).
Analyze Fortify scans and remediate vulnerabilities using secure software development practices.
Utilize big data analytics to identify advanced threats and indicators of compromise.
Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, procedures, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
Develop technical solutions for complex hybrid systems from a cybersecurity perspective.
What we're looking for
TS/SCI clearance is required.
Must have an Associate's degree and 7+ years of experience, a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience, or 9+ years of experience in Cybersecurity.
DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification is required.
3+ years of experience as a Cybersecurity software engineer.
Experience as an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), or in IT, Cybersecurity, or Software Engineering roles.
Experience with Fortify, AWS, Docker, RHEL, Python, and Java.
Experience conducting enterprise vulnerability scanning using ACAS and implementing security controls per DoD directives and STIGs.
Knowledge of DoD communication, cybersecurity, and IT systems; experience with DevSecOps, Cloud technologies, Agile, or CISSP-ISSEP, CCSP, or CISM (preferred).
