Information Systems Security Engineer

What you'll do

• Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls to enhance detection and vulnerability capabilities.
• Perform risk and vulnerability assessments across network, system, and application areas.
• Use big data analytics to identify advanced threats and indicators of compromise.
• Assess security threats and implement controls in containerized and cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot complex security challenges using network scanning tools and security control frameworks.
• Research and develop new security solutions based on technology trends.
• Communicate complex security issues to a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.

What we're looking for

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of experience with network Security Control Frameworks to support accreditation and cybersecurity standards.
• 5+ years of experience using and applying the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST).
• Knowledge of technology security controls and the network accreditation process.
• Experience with cloud networking providers including AWS, Oracle, Microsoft, or Google (preferred).
• Experience with scanning tools including Nessus, Rapid7, or Nipper (preferred).
• Experience monitoring and assessing risk on Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) items (preferred).
