Hydrostatic Test Technician

What you'll do

• Operate and monitor the hydrostatic test chamber to perform pressure testing on sealed vessels and components.
• Prepare components for testing by installing fittings, plugs, seals, and connections while verifying setup accuracy.
• Visually inspect components during and after testing to identify leaks, weld deficiencies, or other nonconforming conditions.
• Record all test parameters, results, and observations in official reports according to standard operating procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration on the test chamber, pumps, gauges, and related equipment.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols for high-pressure testing operations and maintain an organized work area.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to communicate results and troubleshoot components that fail tests.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of test procedures, fixturing, and workflows to improve efficiency.

What we're looking for

• 4+ years of experience in a hands-on testing, inspection, or manufacturing technician role.
• Familiarity with pressure testing, leak detection, or similar quality verification processes.
• Ability to read and work from technical documentation, engineering drawings, and test procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with high-pressure systems, pumps, fittings, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate results clearly to engineering and production teams.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or maritime manufacturing (preferred).
• Experience with pressure vessel testing, subsea systems, or relevant certifications like VT/PT (preferred).
