Engineering Test Technician

What you'll do

• Build test equipment and cells to validate design decisions across various product lines.
• Execute formal test procedures to provide engineering evidence for hardware development.
• Program test controllers such as WATLOW F4s and F4Ts for automated testing.
• Set up data acquisition systems for environmental tests including thermal, vibration, and shock.
• Maintain capital equipment like environmental chambers, electrodynamic shakers, and DAQ tools.
• Perform instrumentation installation including strain gauge application and sensor calibration.
• Update technical documentation and develop training materials for the test team.
• Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers at various sites as needed.

What we're looking for

• Must have at least 3 years of professional experience in an engineering technician capacity or similar role.
• Experience with wire harnessing, electrical layout, and enclosure build out is required.
• Demonstrated hands-on fabrication and assembly skills including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and 3D printing.
• Experience with instrumentation installation and checkout such as strain gauge application, sensor calibration, and thermocouple install.
• Familiarity with basic AC/DC power systems and data acquisition system setup.
• Familiarity with Jira or other agile development software.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to export controlled information or facilities.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
