Employee Experience Manager

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated employee and manager inquiries in Japan.
• Coach managers on setting expectations, providing feedback, and managing employee performance.
• Resolve employee relations issues by investigating complaints and conducting intervention sessions when necessary.
• Develop and evolve HR processes and systems to improve the overall employee experience.
• Ensure regional compliance by advising leadership on Japanese employment laws and local regulations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to leaders to provide guidance on people development and business results.
• Support regional benefits, payroll, and HR shared services administration and vendor management.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in progressive HR roles including performance management, coaching, business partnership, and HR operations.
• Proficiency in both Japanese and English with strong interpersonal skills to influence and engage others.
• Strong working knowledge of Japanese employment laws to manage grievances, disputes, and investigations.
• Experience in a high growth technology business (preferred).
• Relevant HR certifications (preferred).
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Proven organizational and project management skills to develop and implement HR programs.
