Head of Infrastructure Standards & Operational Management

What you'll do

• Define and manage enterprise infrastructure standards, reference architectures, and lifecycle practices across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Establish governance for major architecture decisions, including clear decision rights, ownership, actions, and expiration dates.
• Build reusable engineering patterns, implementation guidance, automation assets, and feedback loops to drive standards adoption.
• Lead a Forward Deployed Engineering capability to address challenges in modernization, automation, Agentic AI, and resilience.
• Oversee strategic infrastructure programs and projects, managing milestones, dependencies, risks, and investment exposure.
• Lead asset, configuration, capacity, and decommissioning governance to ensure timely retirement of legacy technology.
• Manage FinOps and technology economics to provide transparency into consumption, unit costs, and optimization opportunities.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team that promotes technical credibility, accountability, and evidence-based decision-making.

What we're looking for

• Significant experience leading enterprise infrastructure architecture, engineering governance, technology operations, or service management in a complex global environment.
• Demonstrated success developing infrastructure standards, reference architectures, governance models, and adoption practices across engineering and operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of cloud and private-cloud operating models, networks, compute, storage, virtualization, containers, automation, observability, resilience, and operational risk controls.
• Experience in technical governance, enterprise programs, embedded engineering, asset and lifecycle management, FinOps/TBM, infrastructure economics, and supplier governance.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical, operational, and financial information into clear executive decisions and measurable outcomes.
• Experience leading diverse teams, developing senior technical and management talent, and influencing stakeholders outside of a direct reporting structure.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills across Engineering, Operations, Product, Cyber, Finance, Procurement, and Risk.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
• 15+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, market infrastructure, regulated technology, or another large enterprise environment (preferred).
• 10+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams, portfolios, or enterprise capabilities (preferred).
• Experience operating in regulated, high-availability, high-resilience, or client-critical environments (preferred).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, Policy as Code, platform engineering, SRE, Agentic AI/AIOps, CMDB, and cloud economics (preferred).
