As the Head of Central Robot Operations, you will lead the central operations organization powering autonomous robot delivery at scale. You will serve as the operational command center, building the capabilities and mechanisms required to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient robot operations across all markets. Your daily responsibilities include overseeing remote assistance for human intervention, managing mapping operations for geospatial assets like HD maps and geofences, and driving geographic expansion through market assessment and regulatory readiness. You will also manage infrastructure such as hubs and charging stations while leading strategy, program management, and policy engagement. To succeed, you must possess expertise in fleet operations, command center environments, and GIS technologies. You will utilize SQL, BI tools, and telemetry systems to analyze data and optimize performance for the autonomous robotics business.
Define and lead the long-term operating model, organizational structure, and roadmap for global robot operations.
Manage 24/7 remote assistance teams to provide human intervention for autonomous robots while reducing overall intervention rates.
Oversee the lifecycle of geospatial assets including HD maps, geofences, and routing data for new market launches.
Develop playbooks and lead execution for expanding robot operations into new cities and geographic zones.
Manage physical infrastructure including hubs, charging stations, maintenance facilities, and fleet capacity planning.
Establish the reporting engine by defining KPIs, forecasting models, and executive dashboards to drive strategic decisions.
Coordinate with legal and policy teams to manage regulatory compliance and public demonstrations.
Lead a Program Management Office to oversee cross-functional workstreams and ensure operational excellence across all functions.
What we're looking for
Must have 15+ years of leadership experience in operations, robotics, autonomous vehicles, logistics, aviation, or mobility.
Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
An MBA or Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business is preferred.
Must have demonstrated success building and leading complex, cross-functional operations organizations.
Must have experience managing multiple domains including fleet operations, command centers, infrastructure, mapping, analytics, and program management.
Must have experience operating 24/7 mission-critical operations with measurable service-level commitments.
Must possess strong analytical skills using SQL, BI tools, dashboards, forecasting, and operational metrics to drive decisions.
Must have executive presence and the ability to influence senior leaders and external stakeholders.
