Hardware Engineer - System Board Design (PCB)

What you'll do

• Own the design and validation of server sub-systems to ensure they meet functional specifications.
• Manage the full product lifecycle from initial concept through production for server products.
• Create detailed technical documentation and functional specifications for hardware components.
• Develop high-speed hardware board designs including schematics, layouts, and troubleshooting.
• Perform hardware validation using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
• Manage relationships with Joint Development Manufacturers (JDMs) to facilitate server product development.
• Develop and implement test scripts using Python for hardware validation processes.

What we're looking for

• Must possess a Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 4+ years of experience, a Master's with 2+ years, or a PhD.
• Experience with high-speed hardware board designs and validation is required.
• Experience taking board designs from concept through production including schematics, layouts, and troubleshooting is required.
• Experience in hardware validation using lab equipment like Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, and Spectrum Analyzers is required.
• Hands-on board design knowledge using tools such as Cadence Concept and Allegro is required.
• Experience with networking products design (preferred).
• Experience creating test scripts in Python (preferred).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
