Hardware Engineer V

What you'll do

• Define and execute electrical, thermal, and mechanical stress tests to ensure long-term performance of RF front-end modules.
• Design and develop reliability test hardware and software for dynamic life testing of semiconductor RF devices.
• Perform wafer-level RF testing, ESD characterization, power handling, and thermal IR imaging using specialized instruments.
• Conduct advanced life testing methodologies including RF High-Temperature Operating Life (HTOL) and DC HTOL.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and failure analysis activities to resolve device and reliability failures.
• Analyze complex data sets using JMP or Excel to provide feedback on design of experiments (DOE).
• Develop automation scripts to improve operational efficiency in data analysis, plotting, and reporting.
• Supervise technicians to coordinate and monitor progress on assigned reliability tasks.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience, Master's with 8+ years, or PhD with 5+ years of experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor device reliability engineering focusing on RF or power conversion components.
• Proven experience designing and executing reliability stress tests including ESD, HTOL, and thermal testing.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as JMP or Minitab for reliability data analysis.
• Experience with RF test equipment and measurement techniques like VNAs, power meters, and spectrum analyzers.
• Expertise in RF/microwave semiconductor devices used in wireless handsets, such as switches, filters, and front-end modules.
• Familiarity with industry-standard reliability specifications and qualifications such as JEDEC.
