What you'll do

  • Lead full-cycle business development to identify, structure, and close complex multi-party partnership agreements.
  • Manage a high-priority pipeline of partnerships with card networks, acquirers, wallets, and alternative payment methods.
  • Define the multi-year partnership strategy including prioritization frameworks, partner segmentation, and go-to-market models.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on payment trends, regulations, and emerging technologies like agentic commerce and stablecoins.
  • Translate partnership requirements into product roadmap inputs to develop new payment capabilities and features.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure deals are commercially sound and compliant.
  • Lead and mentor a team responsible for managing and expanding the company's payment partnership portfolio.
  • Deliver executive-ready narratives and strategy briefs to communicate opportunities and trade-offs to senior leadership.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of experience managing partnerships, business development, or strategic accounts.
  • Demonstrated track record of sourcing, structuring, and closing complex, multi-party partnership agreements.
  • Experience negotiating with payments ecosystem partners including card networks, acquirers, wallets, and fintechs.
  • Background in payments, financial services, or fintech (preferred).
  • Experience with payfac business models (plus).
  • Prior experience working within platform companies where partnerships are a core growth lever (preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Executive-level written and verbal communication skills to build conviction with senior leaders.
