Grid Modernization Engineer ADMS

What you'll do

• Translate business requirements and operational workflows into technical solution designs and implementation plans.
• Perform peer reviews of technical designs, code, and deployment artifacts to ensure cybersecurity compliance and standards.
• Troubleshoot escalated issues by conducting root cause analysis and recommending long-term corrective actions.
• Monitor system performance and manage the deployment of new features, patches, and upgrades across environments.
• Conduct system troubleshooting including log analysis, configuration validation, and trace reviews to resolve technical issues.
• Perform workstation and server patching for Windows and Linux systems while maintaining environment readiness.
• Support application interface testing for SCADA, OMS, GIS, and other utility data integrations.
• Create and manage operational reports and Power BI dashboards to support decision-making.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience if a bachelor's degree is not held.
• Experience supporting or implementing Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), SCADA, OMS, DMS, or related utility operational technologies.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration, including command-line operations.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware vCenter.
• Understanding of networking concepts including IP/LAN configurations, firewalls, and network topology diagrams.
• Experience performing log analysis, system monitoring, and root cause analysis to resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Ability to create operational reports using tools like Power BI and develop technical documentation for troubleshooting and procedures.
