As a Graphics (GPU) Performance Analysis Engineer within the Silicon Technologies group, you will join the GPU Performance Analysis team to collaborate with architecture, design, and software partners. Your primary responsibilities involve performing performance analysis, tuning, and debugging for future GPU architectures. You will develop comprehensive performance test plans to validate hardware, analyze complex issues to identify specific hardware and software problems, and propose novel hardware solutions to improve overall performance. Additionally, you will build tools to facilitate the measurement and communication of performance metrics while validating the functionality and quantifying benefits of features implemented in both hardware and software. To succeed in this role, you must possess knowledge of computer architecture and proficiency in Verilog, C, C++, and Python. This position focuses on solving technical challenges related to high-performance, power-efficient processor and system-on-chip designs.

What you'll do

  • Develop performance test plans to validate GPU performance.
  • Analyze performance issues to identify specific hardware and software problems.
  • Propose novel hardware solutions to improve overall GPU performance.
  • Create tools for the efficient measurement, communication, and improvement of GPU performance.
  • Validate functionality and quantify performance benefits of features implemented in hardware and software.
  • Perform tuning and debugging of future GPU architectures.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum BS degree.
  • Experience or coursework in computer architecture.
  • Experience with Verilog, C, and C++.
  • Experience with scripting language Python.
  • Experience in GPU architecture (preferred).
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills (preferred).
  • Ability to work well in a team and be productive under aggressive schedules (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and well organized (preferred).
