JOB TITLE: GPU HLM Engineer
The GPU HLM Engineer joins the GPU ASICS Engineering team to architect, design, implement, verify, and optimize the performance and power of GPU cores. This role involves building functional model simulations, developing software, and testing various graphics to ensure correctness while meeting advanced performance and power goals. The engineer will design and run complex graphics tests for large subsystems to ensure stability and high-quality functionality. Key responsibilities include developing critical driver and compiler software, writing detailed technical documentation for complex projects, and collaborating with third-party vendors and internal organizations. The position requires expertise in GPU architecture, software engineering, and systems engineering to solve complex graphics problems. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in hardware and software engineering to support the development of next-generation GPU products.
Architect, design, implement, verify, and optimize the performance and power of GPU cores.
Build functional model simulations and develop software to verify graphics correctness and performance goals.
Design and run complex graphics tests to ensure high-quality functionality, power, and stability.
Develop critical driver and compiler software to support GPU products.
Write detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for complex GPU projects.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Software, Hardware, or Systems Engineering experience.
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of Software, Hardware, or Systems Engineering experience.
PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software, Hardware, or Systems Engineering experience.
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
2+ years of relevant GPU experience (preferred).
2+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (preferred).
1+ year in a technical leadership role with direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports).
