JOB TITLE: GPU DV Engineer
The GPU DV Engineer joins the GPU ASICS Engineering team to architect, design, implement, verify, and optimize the performance and power of GPU cores. In this role, you will build functional model simulations, develop software, and conduct comprehensive graphics tests to verify correctness, stability, and power goals. You will also develop critical driver and compiler software to support GPU products while writing detailed technical documentation for complex projects. The position requires proficiency in software engineering, hardware engineering, and systems engineering to solve complex graphics problems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to ensure alignment with technical goals. This role focuses on the technical challenges of graphics processing, specifically ensuring that GPU hardware meets rigorous performance and power efficiency benchmarks.
Architect, design, implement, verify, and optimize the performance and power of GPU cores.
Build functional model simulations and develop software to verify graphics correctness and performance goals.
Design, program, and run comprehensive graphics tests across various scenarios and benchmarks.
Develop critical driver and compiler software to support GPU products.
Write detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for complex GPU projects.
Identify and resolve issues related to functionality, performance, power, and stability.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software, Hardware, or Systems Engineering experience.
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Software, Hardware, or Systems Engineering experience.
PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software, Hardware, or Systems Engineering experience.
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
2+ years of relevant GPU experience (preferred).
1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (preferred).
1+ year in a technical leadership role with direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports).
