Senior Lead Full Stack Java / React Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Gather and refine requirements by engaging directly with business users.
• Design, implement, and support critical financial applications using Java and Python.
• Support and maintain the firm's AWS Cloud Infrastructure platform.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of existing data models.
• Drive the adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices across teams.
• Integrate and resolve issues with third-party vendor systems.
• Provide technical guidance to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Influence product design and technical operations by advocating for leading-edge technologies.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Robust programming experience in Java, Python, and React JS.
• Experience with AWS Public Cloud Technologies and Terraform.
• Proficiency in Database technologies such as RDS Oracle and RDS SQL Server with strong SQL query skills.
• Experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on compliant usage.
• Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Experience in Hedge Fund, Asset Management, and Investment Banking (preferred); familiarity with Snowflake, Arcesium, Eze, and Bloomberg (preferred).
