As the Fraud and Abuse Operations Lead at Plaid, you will join a critical team dedicated to safeguarding the platform against fraud and abuse. Your daily responsibilities include managing on-call rotations, conducting thorough investigations into various types of fraud claims, triaging high-priority incidents, and collaborating with product teams to enhance fraud mitigation strategies. You must possess strong data analysis skills using SQL and common tools, experience in incident response and risk management, and a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks governing financial services. Additionally, familiarity with machine learning models for fraud detection is beneficial. This role demands exceptional communication and leadership abilities to protect Plaid’s reputation and ensure the integrity of its platform at scale.
Take ownership of abuse on-call rotation to respond and resolve fraud events.
Conduct thorough investigations into fraud claims from various sources.
Triage and manage high-priority fraud incidents as internal severe events.
Provide operational insights to product teams for developing fraud mitigation strategies.
Analyze data to identify fraudulent patterns and build reports using SQL.
