As the Fraud and Abuse Operations Lead at Plaid's San Francisco headquarters, you will join a critical team dedicated to safeguarding the platform against fraud and abuse. Your primary responsibilities include managing on-call rotations for immediate response to security incidents, conducting in-depth investigations into various types of fraud, and collaborating with product teams to enhance fraud mitigation strategies. You will leverage your expertise in incident response, data analysis using SQL and common tools, and knowledge of regulatory frameworks like AML and KYC to build resilient operational controls. This role demands strong communication skills and the ability to balance security measures with user experience, ensuring Plaid's platform remains secure while maintaining trust among users and customers.
Take ownership of the abuse on-call rotation to respond and resolve fraud and abuse events.
Conduct thorough investigations into fraud claims from various sources, informing critical decisions.
Triage and manage high-priority fraud incidents as internal severe events (SEVs).
Serve as a key operational partner for product teams, providing insights for fraud mitigation strategies.
Build and mature operational teams focused on fraud prevention and incident response.
