What you'll do

Design, develop, and analyze systems, software, and equipment layouts for research and product development.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide engineering support during the research and development phases.
Analyze project effects on engineering, facilities, and labor pools to determine cost-efficient resource methods.
Develop, implement, install, test, and modify complex equipment and systems.
Operate complex systems and provide technical support for experiment design and materials.
Set up, monitor, and document experiments and laboratory equipment.
Maintain equipment and manage related technical issues for the engineering work team.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related field plus 2 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
Demonstrate narrowly focused in-depth technical level of practical operational process knowledge in a specific engineering area.
Demonstrate technical competence in the setup, monitoring, and documentation of experiments and/or lab equipment.
Creative thinking with the ability to multi-task (preferred).
Commitment to ongoing professional development (preferred).
