What you'll do

  • Provide hands-on technical support for mission-critical software, hardware, and networked systems on Navy ships and shore facilities.
  • Install, configure, and maintain proprietary and commercial applications in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex system failures across hardware, software, operating systems, and network connectivity.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for fleet customers via phone, email, remote sessions, and onsite visits.
  • Create detailed documentation for installation procedures, verification steps, and corrective actions.
  • Deliver technical training to end users and system administrators on supported technologies.
  • Support software updates and integration activities while analyzing performance data to drive improvements.
  • Travel to customer locations, shipyards, and fleet sites as required by mission needs.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess U.S. citizenship.
  • Must have a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at time of hire.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and supporting software applications in Windows, Linux, and networked environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, operating systems, and network connectivity.
  • Ability to deliver technical training and documentation for installation, verification, and corrective actions.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, virtualization, and enterprise network concepts.
  • Must complete all requirements for DoD 8570 Certification within 6 months.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Navy, Department of Defense, maritime, or classified systems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Linux administration, VMware/Hyper-V, SQL/Oracle databases, SCCM, WSUS, and technical documentation development (preferred).
  • CompTIA Security+ or comparable cybersecurity certification (preferred).
