What you'll do

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of firmware engineers building embedded software for micromobility products.
Set technical direction and architecture for IoT, powertrain, battery management, and charging infrastructure systems.
Manage OTA update strategies, remote diagnostics, and field recovery mechanisms to minimize fleet downtime.
Translate ambiguous product requirements into actionable roadmaps, sprint plans, and hiring schedules.
Drive engineering rigor through CI/CD pipelines, automated Hardware-in-the-Loop testing, and code review standards.
Represent the firmware team in regulatory and safety certification efforts to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Communicate technical risks, trade-offs, and progress clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience developing in C/C++ for embedded systems.
2+ years of experience directly managing or formally leading firmware or embedded engineers.
Deep understanding of real-time operating systems (FreeRTOS, ThreadX) and low-level OS concepts like memory management and interrupts.
Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex-M processors, electrical bring-up, and hardware debugging tools like oscilloscopes and signal analyzers.
Working knowledge of IoT, motor control, battery management systems (BMS), and CAN bus protocols for electric vehicles or similar products.
Experience with OTA update systems, remote fleet diagnostics, and modern firmware practices like CI/CD and HIL testing.
Familiarity with functional safety and regulatory frameworks such as ISO 26262, MISRA C, and UL standards (preferred).
