What you'll do

Develop low-level firmware and software for microcontrollers across land, sea, and air systems.
Create reusable device drivers and integrate system-level features into the existing codebase.
Take full ownership of the design, implementation, and completion of embedded firmware projects.
Debug and troubleshoot complex issues spanning electrical, firmware, and software boundaries.
Select microcontrollers and peripherals while reviewing schematics in coordination with the electrical engineering team.
Mentor other engineers on best practices in design engineering and technical development.
Manage multiple concurrent projects at various stages of the development lifecycle.

What we're looking for

BS or MS in CS, CE, EE, or equivalent industry experience.
5+ years of experience in firmware/embedded software development focusing on embedded systems.
Expert level C coding ability for embedded systems.
Experience with one or more microcontroller cores such as ARM, AVR, MSP430, or PIC.
Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital sensors.
Experience developing firmware in bare-metal and/or RTOS environments.
Proficiency using JTAG, SWD, Oscilloscopes, and Logic analyzers for debugging.
Extensive experience with common bus protocols including USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, and Ethernet.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
