Finance Transformation Lead - Payment Modernization serves as a transformational leader tasked with architecting and modernizing the payment infrastructure supporting various lines of business. The role involves designing a scalable, in-house payment platform to enable real-time payments, multi-bank routing, and multi-currency disbursements across global entities. You will build robust business cases for modernization, manage the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment, and develop multi-year roadmaps. Key responsibilities include navigating complex regulatory landscapes, integrating treasury operations like cash management and FX, and ensuring tax compliance across jurisdictions. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in technical program management, payment systems architecture, and financial services. You will utilize Agile or hybrid frameworks while collaborating with engineering, product, and legal teams to solve the challenge of modernizing global payment routing and infrastructure for a complex ecosystem.
Architect and lead the end-to-end strategy and execution of the global payment modernization program.
Design a scalable, in-house payment engine to manage routing, timing, and rail selection across all business lines.
Develop multi-year roadmaps that translate high-level strategies into actionable programs with measurable outcomes.
Build rigorous business cases to justify investments in payment infrastructure and new revenue opportunities.
Manage the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering and architecture design through system implementation and adoption.
Ensure all payment systems comply with global regulations, tax requirements, and treasury operations like cash management and FX.
Present complex payment programs and strategic roadmaps to senior leadership and CFO staff.
What we're looking for
10+ years of experience leading complex, large-scale payments, treasury, or finance transformation programs at an enterprise scale.
7+ years of technical product/program management experience within payments, financial services, FinTech, or enterprise finance organizations.
Proven track record delivering large-scale payment system implementations or financial infrastructure modernization across enterprise finance functions.
Ability to apply expertise in payments, treasury, and financial services to the design and execution of payment modernization programs.
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.
Deep knowledge of payment systems architecture, multi-bank routing, and disbursement operations in global environments (preferred).
Knowledge of treasury operations, tax requirements, and payments regulation including cross-border compliance (preferred).
Formal project management qualification such as PMP or PRINCE2 (preferred).
