File Transfer System Administrator

What you'll do

• Administer and maintain IBM Sterling Connect:Direct, Secure File Gateway, and Secure Proxy environments.
• Manage and support Axway Secure Transfer infrastructure for secure data exchange.
• Monitor file transfer activities and perform system configurations, upgrades, and patches.
• Troubleshoot and resolve file transfer failures and platform issues within defined SLA timeframes.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts and Ansible playbooks to automate routine tasks and deployments.
• Implement security controls, manage certificates, and conduct regular vulnerability assessments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide on-call support for production file transfer systems and participate in incident response.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (equivalent work experience may be considered).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience administering IBM Sterling Connect:Direct.
• 3+ years of experience with IBM Sterling Secure File Gateway (SFG).
• Proficiency in IBM Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP) administration and Axway Secure Transfer.
• Advanced proficiency in Linux/Unix administration (RHEL, CentOS, or similar) and strong shell scripting skills.
• Working knowledge of Ansible for configuration management and deployment automation (preferred).
• Experience with Sterling File Gateway B2B integrations, containerization, or cloud platforms (preferred).
