Field Process Engineer IV

What you'll do

• Provide process support, installation, and troubleshooting for new and existing equipment at customer sites.
• Design and conduct experiments to collect data and analyze results for optimizing device architecture.
• Perform root cause analysis to address process deviations and meet specific customer requirements.
• Develop new processes and define best known method recipes for hardware modifications.
• Partner with hardware engineering to define chamber requirements and characterize hardware designs.
• Provide technical leadership and instruction to field service engineers, technicians, and customers.
• Coordinate statistical analysis of failure rates and develop continuous improvement plans.
• Recommend design changes to key technical solutions based on performance trend monitoring.

What we're looking for

• PhD in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or related field; or MS with 3+ years experience; or BS with 6+ years experience.
• Proficiency in computer applications including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment wearing personal protective equipment and on-call if needed.
• In-depth understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE) (preferred).
• Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines (preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams, customers, and partners (preferred).
• Collaborative mindset in a matrixed environment (preferred).
