Field Process Engineer IV

What you'll do

• Provide process support, installation, and troubleshooting for new applications at customer sites.
• Serve as key field support for Beta sites, evaluations, and first-in-fab installations.
• Design and conduct experiments to collect data and analyze results for device architecture optimization.
• Partner with customers to address process deviations through root cause analysis.
• Develop new or modified processes and define best known method recipes for hardware designs.
• Provide technical leadership and instruction to Field Service Engineers, technicians, and customers.
• Coordinate statistical analysis of failure rates and develop continuous improvement plans.
• Recommend design changes based on performance trends and process development data.

What we're looking for

• A PhD in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or a related field is required.
• A Master of Science degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience is accepted.
• A Bachelor of Science degree with 6+ years of work experience is accepted.
• Proficiency in computer applications including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer relationship skills are required.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment while wearing personal protective safety equipment or a suit is required.
• In-depth understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE) is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities are preferred.
