Software Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Define system requirements and translate them into software requirements and models with clear traceability.
• Design, develop, and maintain software systems that meet safety, security, and certification standards.
• Perform system-level analyses to identify risks and implement mitigation actions throughout the lifecycle.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure alignment with technical requirements and industry standards.
• Monitor and review test completion, verification processes, and issue resolution for software systems.
• Create user documentation and training materials to educate end users on software products.
• Manage software projects and oversee performance of internal teams and external suppliers.
• Implement emerging technologies and tools while ensuring compliance with relevant government regulations.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 3 or more years of engineering work experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Experience in Software Systems Architecture and writing software requirements.
• Experience with interface design and control documents.
• Troubleshooting H/W and S/W issues in complex environments (preferred).
