Senior Turbine Aerodynamicist

What you'll do

• Lead advancements in high and low-pressure turbine design for aircraft and industrial gas turbine products.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in turbine aerodynamic design and analysis across the entire product lifecycle.
• Implement Design Execution Quality processes and tools to reduce variations impacting product performance and yield.
• Identify and drive improvements in designs, manufacturing methods, production tools, and automated systems like AI.
• Develop and maintain engineering and manufacturing practice manuals, including design templates and lessons learned.
• Influence organizational leadership by developing robust strategies based on academic trends and proprietary advancements.
• Resolve program issues to meet customer and regulatory requirements across multiple sites and organizations.
• Mentor and coach early-career personnel while fostering a culture of psychological safety within the team.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) for export-controlled information access.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering with 15 years of experience, OR Master’s with 14 years, OR PhD with 12 years.
• Candidates in Germany require a Bachelor's degree and major relevant technical experience.
• Must be a subject matter expert in turbine aerodynamic design and analysis across multiple product lifecycle phases.
• Knowledge of advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and aerodynamic testing techniques is desired.
• Ability to apply first principles physical thinking to solve problems and develop technology strategy.
• Demonstrated skills in group facilitation, collaboration, and delivering impactful technical presentations.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
