As Executive Director, Global Technology Strategy, you will join a specialized team of executives serving as trusted advisors to senior technology leaders. You will manage a focused portfolio of strategic initiatives, driving them from initial problem framing through to defensible answers and execution. Your daily work involves engaging directly with stakeholders to resolve complex, high-stakes decisions regarding AI deployment, governance, operating models, and architecture. The role requires significant technical depth in architectures and systems, alongside a sophisticated understanding of the evolving AI landscape specifically for financial institutions. You will utilize skills in strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and professional communication to navigate firmwide transformations. Key competencies include an authoritative grasp of model risk management and agentic AI development tools to address critical technology strategy questions within a complex corporate environment.
Advise senior technology leaders as a trusted partner on high-stakes, consequential strategic questions.
Manage a portfolio of strategic initiatives from initial problem framing to reaching a defensible, agreed-upon solution.
Drive diverse stakeholder groups toward consensus and mobilize the organization to execute on those decisions.
Define the core problems the firm should address to provide clarity on complex and politically charged technology decisions.
Monitor AI market trends and financial industry developments to inform and evaluate firmwide technology strategy.
Develop, mentor, and manage team members on technical skills, professional development, and communication.
Translate complex technical architectures and governance models into actionable strategies for both technical and non-technical executives.
What we're looking for
At least 10+ years of business and technology strategy experience with hands-on delivery of complex solutions.
Extensive experience as a technology-focused strategy practitioner advising senior clients on enterprise-level technology strategy.
Significant technical depth in concepts, architectures, and operating models to interface credibly with engineers and architects.
Strong grasp of the AI landscape, specifically regarding adoption and governance within financial institutions.
Demonstrated ability to drive diverse stakeholders toward a common answer and mobilize them toward execution.
Excellent communication skills to deliver compelling narratives on strategy and emerging technologies to both technical and non-technical executives.
Proven success leading firmwide transformation initiatives within the technology domain.
Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, technology, or a related field (preferred); authoritative grasp of AI governance and model risk management (preferred).
