The Technology Director, Managing Director leads a global organization responsible for engineering and delivery of business-critical back-office capabilities. This executive role involves defining multi-year technology strategies, overseeing software engineering, architecture, cloud, DevOps, and production support, and driving application modernization and cloud transformation. The leader must manage solution architecture, engineering standards, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and automated testing while ensuring platform resiliency and disaster recovery. Define and execute the multi-year technology strategy and roadmap for back-office capabilities.
Lead a global organization spanning software engineering, architecture, cloud, DevOps, and production support.
Drive application modernization, cloud transformation, and platform simplification initiatives.
Establish and govern engineering standards, including DevSecOps, CI/CD, and automated testing.
Ensure platform availability, resiliency, disaster recovery readiness, and capacity management.
Own the remediation of technology risks, vulnerabilities, audit findings, and regulatory commitments.
Oversee strategic vendors and delivery partners regarding performance, financial management, and risk.
Develop senior technology leaders and build succession plans for the global engineering organization.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
Advanced degree (preferred).
20+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including responsibility for large-scale engineering organizations and business-critical platforms.
Proven experience managing global teams and complex technology portfolios within financial services or another highly regulated industry.
Experience with investment servicing, asset management, fund accounting, or investment operations (preferred).
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, relational databases, and modern web technologies.
Experience with Agile delivery, DevOps, automated testing, software quality, and production support.
