Exchange System Administrator SME

What you'll do

• Develop and implement on-prem Microsoft Exchange solutions for small, medium, and large enterprise environments.
• Conduct technical planning for hardware and software upgrades and generate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform requirements analysis and functional analysis with operations staff to meet customer upgrade timelines.
• Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 administration support for troubleshooting, maintenance, and monitoring of physical and virtual servers.
• Conduct network latency analysis and perform root cause analysis to resolve complex system problems.
• Create and implement PowerShell scripts to automate and standardize routine tasks and monitoring.
• Manage roles, services, and permissions in accordance with Government Service Owner and Cyber Security mandates.
• Support 24/7/365 mission requirements, including providing on-call support during after-hours outages.

What we're looking for

• US Citizenship is required.
• Must possess a TS/SCI with specific Polygraph or a TS/SCI with willingness to obtain and maintain a polygraph.
• Must meet DoDM 8140.03 IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher).
• Must have a Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience, Master’s with 10 years, Associate's with 14 years, or High School Diploma with 16 years.
• Extensive experience as a Tier 2/3 System Administrator with Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange 2016, 2019, and 2025 SE.
• Extensive experience with scripting/automation using Exchange PowerShell or other languages.
• Extensive experience with planning, deploying, and documenting patch and configuration updates for large enterprise environments.
• Extensive knowledge of Disaster Recovery (DR) for High Availability (HA) and Email Journaling solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or MCSA certification (preferred).
• Experience troubleshooting within a Trellix/Windows Defender security environment (preferred).
• Experience with backup and restore procedures utilizing NetBackup or VMware snapshots (preferred).
