Environmental Test Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop and execute environmental test procedures for thermal, dynamic, climatic, corrosion, and ingress testing per MIL-STD-810 and DO-160 standards.
• Tailor test methods to specific program needs by selecting appropriate levels, durations, and success criteria based on operational requirements.
• Design instrumentation and data acquisition approaches including sensor selection, channel configuration, and measurement uncertainty considerations.
• Program and operate test controllers and electrodynamic shaker systems for sine, random, SRS, and mixed-mode vibration testing.
• Analyze test data to identify anomalies and produce engineering reports to support qualification and certification decisions.
• Serve as the environmental test subject matter expert to partner with engineers from planning through data delivery.
• Create and maintain work instructions, training materials, and technical documentation for environmental testing procedures.
• Maintain lab facilities, ensure safety protocols, and manage the maintenance of capital equipment like chambers and shakers.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, or 10+ years of environmental test experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in thermal, vibration, and shock testing.
• Working knowledge of MIL-STD-810, DO-160, or equivalent environmental test standards.
• Experience developing test procedures and engineering test reports.
• Proficiency with data acquisition systems and test instrumentation.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-mix environment supporting multiple programs simultaneously.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
