JOB TITLE: Enterprise Monitoring Systems Administrator - TS/SCI w/Poly
The Enterprise Monitoring Systems Administrator supports the CIS team by ensuring the continuous visibility, stability, and security of mission-critical systems across multiple enterprise networks. This role involves administering and optimizing monitoring infrastructure, including log aggregation, event management, telemetry collection, and performance dashboards. Key responsibilities include maintaining compliant configuration baselines, implementing STIG-aligned controls, and executing timely patching and security updates. The administrator provides Tier 3 troubleshooting for complex issues like ingestion failures and data latency while collaborating with engineering and cybersecurity teams. Required technical skills include experience with platforms such as SolarWinds, Splunk, Elastic/ELK, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Nagios, or Zabbix, alongside Windows and Linux system administration. The position focuses on improving cybersecurity posture and operational readiness for critical infrastructure.
Administer and optimize enterprise monitoring systems for log aggregation, event management, and telemetry collection.
Monitor the health, availability, and utilization of monitoring platforms and data pipelines.
Implement secure configuration baselines and STIG-aligned controls across monitoring servers and agents.
Execute timely patching and security updates using automated deployment and compliance technologies.
Review weekly vulnerability scans and coordinate remediation actions with system owners.
Configure alerting policies, performance thresholds, and dashboards for infrastructure and application monitoring.
Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting for complex issues like ingestion failures and data latency.
Maintain technical documentation of system configurations and patch schedules to support audit readiness.
What we're looking for
Must possess an active Top Secret SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph.
Must be a US citizen.
Must have 10+ years of related experience.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or 10+ years of relevant IT experience in lieu of a degree.
Must meet DoD 8140 Information Assurance Workforce certification requirements.
Must have hands-on experience administering enterprise monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds, Splunk, Elastic/ELK, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Nagios, or Zabbix.
Must have working knowledge of Windows and Linux systems administration, performance tuning, log management, and secure configuration practices.
Active TS/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph.
